One More Day!

This time tomorrow we will be getting on the plane, and on our way to England!! Crazy times-- I can't believe how fast things went.

We managed (somehow) after what seemed like eons of packing, to get moved. There was a giant pile of boxes in our house- that we do have pictures of, but on Rocky's camera, so you will have to wait for him to post to see the pictures. However, I do have pictures of us in our empty living room...

To be fair, not the best picture ever, but I blame mom who took the picture, and us who were to tired to even really be standing.

Then of course, we had to haul all of our boxes to Granny's... and barely away from the apartment our U-Haul got a flat tire.

But eventually we got all of our stuff moved. Since then I have been hanging out in Camrose, learning how to drive Standard transmission and at Quilting From The Heart. Tonight we are having a family BBQ, before flying off to Manchester Tomorrow. Never fear, I'm sure if you wait only a few days, you can find out all about it.

Later days,

Kathleen

Packing Packing Packing

So in the past few weeks our date of departure has moved from September 6 to August 28, so suddenly everything has had to happen much faster than we were expecting.  Suddenly we are in the midst of packing. And Packing. And Packing. Despite giving away 3 boxes of books, a box of clothes, and a box of other.... stuff... we still seem to have way to much stuff to pack. And, while this means that my storage closet is now cleaner than it has been since before I moved in...

This also means that the rest of my house is is either full of boxes

or just a giant mess...

Sigh... I miss when my house was clean...

Sigh. What I won't miss are my horrible brown floors.

Oh well. So, the countdown is as follows:
Days of Work Left (Rocky); 0
Days of Work Left (Kathleen); 2
Days of Packing Left; 4
Sleeps until Leaving for BC: 3
Sleeps until Moving Day (Out of Edmonton); 10
Sleeps until Flight to England; 13
Sleeps until First Day of Work (Quilters Haven); 21

I guess that it is back to packing for me... or maybe supper...

Later days!

Kathleen.

Things are all right...

Hi there! First post! Despite creating the blog only weeks after deciding to go to Britain (back in February) it has taken to now to get my act together enough to post something. But, bothy my and Rocky's visa's have come through, and all our plans are falling into place... so here we go!

What exactly made us want to go to Britain in the first place? Well... who knows really. They speak english basically. And we will be able to do a lot of travel throughout Europe from there, which will be awesome! So we are both really exciting....

So, the plan... we are going to be living in Bromeswell, and I am going to be working in Wickham Market... as shown on this map...

And a close up!

Anyways, we are super excited!

Also exciting-- I have a job! I'm going to be working in a Quilting store called Quilters Haven. Here's a picture!

Basically, I am a little bit too excited to write anything worth reading... we'll post more soon!
